There were leeks in our bag this week. Not leaks. Leeks. And they kind of remind me of a certain Muppet. (more…)
What’s in the CSA Bag - Week 7

Nothing too exciting going on in the newsletter this week. In non-CSA news, I got really annoyed today because the peaches I bought at the farm market on Saturday have already gone bad (and have taken some other fruit down with them), but I guess this is one of the trials and tribulations associated with buying non-sprayed, non-GMO food. This is our second year with our CSA. I’m in love with getting a mystery bag of freshly picked, organic veggies every week.
Chile Chews has been taking pictures of her weekly CSA haul, and I’ve seen a few other bloggers do the same. I’m always fascinated by what’s growing in other parts of the country and what people plan to do with the food they get. So I figured I’d follow suit and fill you in on our CSA bag and my plans for it. (more…)
