Take a second and think about how many feminine care products you use every month.  Multiply that by 12 months and then multiply that by 39 (the average number of years women maintain a menstrual cycle).  That’s a lot of waste, and there’s a lot more to consider as well.

My New Hair Care Regimen

About a month ago, I chopped off my 16 inch ponytail so I could donate it.

I’d like to say I did it gracefully, but I whined and complained about my new haircut for weeks. I’m finally adjusting, and it’s grown out enough to tuck behind my ears. But, no matter what I do with my hair during the day, I wake up looking like I’m about to hold auditions for an all-girl Flock of Seagulls cover band (We would be called Mock of Seagulls).

I used to avoid the use of “product” in my hair, but that’s no longer an option, so here’s my new product lineup. (more…)
