Eat a leisurely breakfast. Spend more time with your family. Read a book. Read some blogs. Knit. Craft. Write a letter. Go for a hike. Walk the dog. Bake some cookies. Play a board game. But what ever you do, don’t buy anything.

AdBusters, the organization behind Buy Nothing Day urges you to “participate by not participating.” It’s a 24 hour moratorium on spending as a response to hyper-consumerism.
Not content to just stay home and buy nothing? Get out and protest creatively. Walk the malls like a zombie or get some friends together and push empty shopping carts around. But whatever you do, don’t buy anything.
Limiting your consumption is one of the best ways to be eco-friendly.
