I am all about not making extra trips to the store, so I wanted to give you a heads up on this. Take a look in your cupboards, add an extra box of pasta or can of soup to your shopping list. May 10th is the 16th annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive.

Here’s how you can participate:

· Leave a sturdy bag containing non-perishable foods next to your mailbox before the mail arrives on May 10.

· Sit back as letter carriers collect your donations, and donations from homes across the country.

· Pat yourself on the back for benefiting America’s Second Harvest food banks and other hunger relief organizations in 10,000+ local communities.

  1. That’s awesome. Although given that my mailman can’t even be arsed to pick up my Netflix returns half the time, I wonder about his ability to pull this one off.

  2. That’s too bad. Our mail lady is so amazing it’s like she comes from Mayberry or something. She knows every dog’s name and chats with the little old lady who sits on her porch all day. It’s unreal. My dog is in love with her.

  3. this reminds me of the boy scout food drives of my youth. they did the same thing, except they would come pick them up from your door, not the mailbox.
