I LOVE my neti pot. I don’t use it every day either, but when I have sinus problems, it’s a great solution. I have a deviated septum, and get nasty sinus headaches often, but I haven’t taken sinus meds since I got my neti pot.

I use a neti pot. I don’t do it on a daily basis, which I should, but it really helps when it’s allergy season or when you feel a cold coming on. It definatly cleans everything out and helps you breathe easier. It’s intended to be used on a regular basis, however, and probably won’t work too well if you only do it once you’re stuffed up.

Unfortunately, I can’t view the video here at work (it’s blocked) so I don’t know exactly what’s on that site.

The first time is a little awkward as you learn the appropriate angle. It feels a little odd, but it’s not uncomfortable or painfull. Likewise, you may have issues getting all the saline out, but there are some simple tricks to doing that.

You don’t have to buy any special solutions to use; you can create your own saline solution with water and non-iodized salt.

The Himalayan Institite’s neti pot (the one I use) has good info on their site including the exercises to completely drain your sinuses.

f**k for forest….who wudda thunk? they look young too. that is sort of an…ethical dilemma to some I’m sure. is that “dirty $90,000″ they’ve donated or hard earned $90,000? I’d be stumped on what to do…

Have you ever tried a neti pot? I was tempted to this winter…but there’s something unnatural about the idea. I’d like to know how it went for anyone who has tried.
