Tip of the Day - E-mail Your Mayor
After reading BraveNewLeaf’s post on the U.S. Conference of Mayors’ Climate Protection Agreement, I was thrilled to see that my local mayor was on the list.
Since I’m guessing the mayor’s office gets a lot of complaints and not a lot of thank yous (not that our mayor isn’t awesome, just that people like to complain more than say thanks), I decided to send an e-mail thanking the mayor and the commissioner of environmental services for taking part in this agreement and showing concern for our environment.
After I sent the e-mail, I decided to make this a tip. Read BraveNewLeaf’s post to get to the map of cities included in the agreement. If your city is on the map, e-mail your mayor to say thanks. If your city isn’t on the map, e-mail your mayor and ask why it isn’t. Hopefully, showing support for green actions will lead to more green actions.
