Speaking of avoiding plastics, here’s a great non-plastic crate option for dogs from Lost In Lounge.

If you crate your dog, your choices are usually either a wire crate that looks like a cage, or a plastic monstrosity. The AlumaDen comes in several sizes, and there’s without a door for dogs who don’t need to be crated, but like to sleep in enclosed spaces. There’s even an AlumaDen made to fit in corners. Unlike wire crates, the AlumaDen has a cozy, protected feel to it. I only wish they came sized for a gigantic dog. My dog always wedges himself in small spaces to get cozy. He would love one of these.
