Jump Start to Green - Turn the Water Heater Down
Posted on October 10, 2007 by
If you have kids, you may have already done this to prevent scalding injuries, but if you haven’t, you might want to take a look at your water heater setting.
Jump Start to Green says that often the initial setting for a water heater is 140 degrees. Turning it down to 120 degrees is enough of a difference to save about thirty dollars a year on your utility bills. You probably won’t even notice the difference, because you don’t use just hot water when you take a shower anyway.
Don’t forget to leave a comment below for a chance to win the Jump Start to Green Giveaway.

Another great one…I’ll add this to the list of things to do in our house when we get one
