Do you ever buy produce in mesh bags? Don’t throw the bags away! Here are some ideas for reusing them.

  • Hang tub toys up to dry in them
  • Wad one up and use it to scrub sinks, dishes, veggies, your hands
  • Use them as gift bags
  • Make a ball of peanut butter, shortening, and bird seed. Put in the bag and hang outside to feed the birds in the winter.
  • Cut in strips and use to tie plants to stakes
  • Collect the end slivers of soap and put in a small bag to get some exfoliating action

Thanks, Joan!

  1. Good tips! I’ve always thought they looked like hairnets.

You could probably use them to wash delicates in the washing machine too.
