Yesterday, we talked about donating jeans.  Today, it’s all about coats.  How many old coats do you have in your closets?

Go through your closet.  Coats seem to be items that hang around (sorry! I couldn’t resist) long after we replace them.  Try on anything you haven’t worn in a year and be honest with yourself about your chances of wearing it again.  Or simply decide that anything you or your family members have not worn in two years is fair game to donate.

Good Morning America and Burlington Coat Factory are teaming up for the Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Drive.   From now until January 31st, bring your old (but still usable) coats to Burlington Coat Factory.  You’ll receive a receipt for tax purposes, and the coats will be donated to local organizations.

You can, of course, donate to local organizations directly, but this is a great option if you’re more likely to make a trip to your local mall than to your local Goodwill.
