Tip of the Day - Do a Swap

Here’s another idea for the gift giving season.

Set up a swap with friends. Instead of buying something new, agree to swap an item you already have. Books or movies make great items to swap. Pick your favorites out of the books you’ve read over the year and pass them on to friends. Reading their picks will be another way to bond and learn more about the people you love.

Swap scarves, sweaters, or purses. Swap photos you’ve taken over the year. Swap collections of favorite recipes. Or even swap your favorite stories about each other — write them down on nice recycled paper and add photos, ticket stubs, or other mementos.

  2. Photos are a great gift! It’s so personal, and I always forget to take pics, so I’m thrilled to get them.
