Tip of the Day - Eat Your Vegetables!
Posted on November 15, 2007 by

I was at a loss for a tip today, so I asked my husband if he had any good tips.
Husband: Eat your vegetables!
Allie: That’s not a good tip.
Husband: That’s a great tip. You should eat vegetables. They’re good for you.
Allie: That’s not really an ec0-friendly tip.
Husband: Sure it is.
And, I suppose it is. Veggies are less of a tax on the environment than meat and dairy product production. If you eat your veggies and you stay healthy, you might be able to cut down on trips to the doctor, which will save gas, and cut down on prescriptions that come in plastic bottles. Veggies come in very little (if any) packaging. Veggies can be composted, so there isn’t any waste left over. And organic vegetables are even better, because there’s no pesticide use involved in the growing process.
So eat your (organic) vegetables. That’s today’s tip.
Thanks, sweetie!
