Tip of the Day - Get Rid of Fruit Flies Naturally
Posted on November 9, 2007 by

I seem to have brought home a bunch of fruit flies from the Farmer’s Market awhile ago. They just don’t go away! It’s driving me crazy.
Greenpeace Canada has a simple, eco-friendly solution to get rid of fruit flies without using pesticides or harsh chemicals:
Pour a small amount of beer into a wide-mouth jar. Put a plastic bag across the mouth of the jar with a rubber band. Poke a small hole in the bag. Flies will enter through the hole and not be able to find their way out again. Change the beer when necessary.
Plus, if you’re a fruit fly, drowning in beer is probably not a bad way to go.
