Tip of the Day - Last Minute Valentines

Valentine’s Day is tomorrow.  Looking for a quick and eco-friendly gift?

Bake something.  Who wouldn’t love a batch of brownies or some festively frosted cupcakes?  Even if you don’t have mad baking skills, there are a lot of simple fixes out there, like Dr. Oetkers organic cake and brownie mixes.  If you need to go gluten-free, try Arrowhead Mills or Bob’s Red Mill gluten-free mixes.  Or whip up some chocolate covered strawberries.

If you can’t go organic, skip the flowers and get a plant — a potted palm, a jade plant, a hanging fern.  Not only will a plant add a touch of spring to any room, but it will improve the air quality in your loved one’s home.

Or make up a coupon book of things you’ll do for your loved one. . .  Hey! Get your mind out of the gutter!  (Or don’t, it is Valentine’s Day.)

  1. I LOVE Cherrybrook Kitchens mixes. They have products for food allergy sufferers and some gluten free stuff, too.
