Tip of the Day - Make a Book of Directions

Planning to drive over the river and through the woods to grandma’s new condo over the holidays?  Here’s a great way to manage directions without wasting paper.

If you’re like me and have no sense of direction, online mapping is the best invention ever.  Unless the directions are straight forward, it usually takes me three or four trips to remember how to get someplace.

Instead of printing out or writing down directions every time you need them, keep a binder or notebook of directions.  You can leave it in your car and add to it when you print out new directions (hopefully on the backs of already printed pages).  This way you won’t waste paper on re-prints, and if you start to get lost when you visit Grandma for Mother’s Day, you’ll have directions handy.

If you don’t have an extra binder around the house, check out the Rebinder.

Oh my gosh - I’ve been doing this for a few years!

I can attest to how convienient it is! Admittedly, I started saving my directions mostly because I hate looking up on-line directions, not because I was trying to save paper. :o

My husband uses a GPS for directions, but I’m just not there yet…..I like looking at a piece of paper….

What ever the reason, it saves paper and it’s convenient — good for you, Regular Lady! I like looking at the paper too. I’m bad enough with directions as it is. I don’t need to be puttering with a gadget at the same time. :)
