Tip of the Day - Observe Meat-Free Mondays
Posted on February 25, 2008 by

If you’re a vegetarian or a vegan, every day is a meat-free day for you. But if you’re not, eating meat-free just one day a week can make a big difference.
I did a post awhile ago about eating vegetarian one day a week. While that’s all well and good, I started to realize that it’s very easy to say you’ll eat meat-free once a week, but harder to actually do it, if you aren’t used eating vegetarian. If you feel like you’ve been caught in this trap, make Monday your meat-free day.
I’ll be linking to vegetarian recipes or even sharing a few of my own every Monday. If you’re scared to tofu, this is a great way to get over your fear. But I’ll try to include tofu-free options too, just in case you can’t.

I had red meat for the first time since Christmas dinner last night. Didn’t really feel like I was missing much, to be honest. Another reason to go red-meat free: My friend just got food poisoning from a burger at Bristol Mountain yesterday. MMMM, good times with who knows what was in that thing.
Tell you what: in the interest of flexibility I reserve the right to go meat free any day of the week. Friday is usually better for me.
Yeah, all the fun going on with meat doesn’t make it seem all that appetizing.
Mickey, tell you what: that sounds fine.
