I, too, have "bagged" the plastic bag habit this year and proudly walk into the grocery store with my reusable cloth bags.

I have also started using concentrated laundry detergent to minimize plastic bottle waste. Also, due to your suggestions, Allie, I have switched to more eco-friendly cleaning supplies.

Overall, I'm much more cognizant of the waste we produce and am always thinking of how I can reuse something before throwing it out.

Oh cool! A grocery box is a good idea.

Depending on where you live, car travel is sometimes a necessary evil. I had a tip on eco-motoring awhile back -- http://alliesanswers.com/tip-of-the-day/tip-of-the-day-practice-eco-motoring/456

Every green change you can make helps even out the things you can't change.

This year I finally quit my plastic grocery bag habit. I don't know why it took this long. I take the box that holds our old newspapers for recycling and haul groceries in it. Unfortunately, I also got a job this year that requires a commute by car. I'm still trying to figure that one out.
